What Size is Your Television?

Before looking at styles and details of your new TV stand, the first thing you need to do is measure your TV. The reason this is so important is because TVs are advertised as their screen size, for example, 54 inches. However, this is measured diagonally, not horizontally, and therefore will not help you in knowing what size TV stand you will need. Additionally, the TV size will not include the frame or surrounding bezel, just the screen itself.

Therefore, first you need to measure the width of your TV from left to right. Alternatively, if you are unable to measure your television width, you may be able to find this measurement from the manufacturer.

Once you have found your television size you can now choose which size TV stand you require. If your TV stand is too small for your TV, then this can be dangerous; you want to ensure you leave enough space either side of your television to prevent knocking the screen.
